AI receptionist for local service businesses
BizFinder.ai puts an AI receptionist on the website of your salon, dental office or home-services company (plumbing, HVAC, cleaning, landscaping) that answers visitors by voice or chat at any hour, using what your own site says. It takes their name and contact details as a lead for your team and books appointments with its built-in scheduler or your Calendly, Cal.com or Google Calendar booking page.

What visitors can ask it
It answers the questions your website already answers, in a chat or in a voice conversation in the browser. For a typical local business site that means:
- Opening hours, including holiday hours if you list them
- Which services you offer, as your site describes them
- Where you are, and the areas you serve if your site lists them
- Who is on your team, if your site names them
- Your policies, such as cancellations or guarantees, as your site states them
- Prices your site publishes (see the note on prices below)
- Your phone number, email and address, as your site or dashboard gives them
It learns your site by scanning your pages, starting when the assistant first loads on your site; you can also start a scan from the dashboard. If something is missing or out of date, add it to the knowledge base in your dashboard, or update your site and rescan it. When your site does not answer a question about your business, the assistant is instructed to suggest that the visitor contact you, or, in a voice call, to offer to take their details for a call back.
Examples by trade
Questions like these get an answer when your website, or the knowledge base in your dashboard, has it.
Salons and barbershops
- Are you open on Sunday?
- How much is a cut and color?
- Which of your stylists does curly hair?
- Do you take walk-ins?
- What is your cancellation policy?
Clients book an open time in the Book tab, or on your Calendly, Cal.com or Google Calendar booking page inside the assistant. The built-in scheduler uses one appointment length for every booking and does not book a particular stylist; if you need either, the Book tab can open your own booking page instead.
Dental offices and medical clinics
- Are you taking new patients?
- Do you accept my insurance?
- Do you offer teeth whitening?
- Which dentists work at the practice?
- What should I bring to my first appointment?
A small medical clinic works the same way: it answers from what your site says about your services, doctors, hours and location. It is not a dentist or a doctor, has no medical triage rules and does not connect to your practice-management software or patient records. A health question may get a general answer from the AI model's own knowledge, which no clinician has checked; see the note on emergencies below.
Home services: plumbing, HVAC, cleaning, landscaping
- Do you serve my town?
- Do you offer 24-hour emergency service?
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Do you give free estimates?
- What does a standard house cleaning include?
When a visitor wants a quote or a visit, it takes their name and contact details as a lead, or they book a time. In chat it is instructed not to ask for the visitor's address or ZIP code (it accepts one they offer), so confirm the job location when you call back. It has no troubleshooting rules of its own: a visitor asking how to fix a leak or a furnace may get general advice from the AI model's own knowledge, which you have not checked.
After hours
The assistant stays on your website when you are closed. A visitor who comes at night can still get answers from your site, leave their details for a call back, or pick a time in the Book tab. Which times the built-in scheduler offers follows the weekly hours and time zone you set in your dashboard, so set them to your real opening hours before you go live. Your team picks up the leads and bookings in the dashboard and the daily email.
Booking appointments
Built-in scheduler
On the Bookings page of your dashboard, set your weekly hours and time zone, the days you are closed, how long an appointment lasts and how far ahead people can book. The Book tab in the assistant offers open times inside those hours and skips times already booked; the visitor picks one and enters their name and email. The visitor gets a confirmation email, and you get a new-booking email, which is on by default.
Calendly, Cal.com or Google Calendar
Already take bookings on a Calendly, Cal.com or Google Calendar appointment page? Choose it on the Bookings page of your dashboard and add your link, and the Book tab opens that booking page inside the assistant.
By voice
In a voice call the assistant is instructed to collect the day and time and read them back before it confirms the booking. When the caller has given a phone number or email, the booking is saved in your dashboard. It does not check your open times first, so review voice bookings promptly.
Leads and the daily summary
When a visitor wants a quote, a call back or a visit, the assistant asks for their name and contact details and saves them, with the conversation, as a lead in your dashboard. In chat, when a visitor asks for a quote or a price, it is instructed to ask for their name, email and phone number before it gives any numbers. Once a day you get one email with the number of new leads and conversations from the last 24 hours and a link to your dashboard; on a day with no activity, no email is sent. You can also switch on an email for each new lead, or send chat leads to your own system with a webhook.

Limits to know about
- It works on your website, not on your business phone line.
- It does not connect to salon, dental, practice-management or field-service software, so it cannot see your own appointment book, patient records or job schedule. Bookings it takes are kept in your BizFinder dashboard, or in Calendly, Cal.com or Google Calendar when the visitor books on that page.
- It answers questions about your business only from your website and what you add in the dashboard (plus the chat price ranges below). For general questions it can also answer from the AI model's own general knowledge, which you have not checked.
- It is not a dentist, a doctor or a licensed tradesperson, and it has no medical triage or troubleshooting rules of its own.
- It does not take payments or deposits for appointments.
Prices in chat
The assistant answers price questions from the prices your site publishes. The chat is not limited to those today: for some common services it can quote a typical price range from BizFinder's own price research until you set your own range on the Services page of your dashboard, and a general question may get typical prices from the AI model's general knowledge. In voice calls it is instructed to take your prices only from your site and knowledge base and not to guess them. Publish your prices or set your ranges, and check what it says, before you go live.
Emergencies and urgent jobs
In voice calls its instructions tell it to drop everything else and point a caller who describes an emergency or danger to emergency help. The chat has no rule of that kind today, so what it says depends on the AI model and on what your site says. Publish your emergency number and after-hours policy on your website, for example whether you take emergency plumbing or heating calls at night, or what a dental patient in pain should do, so the assistant can give them to a visitor at any hour.

Frequently asked questions
Can an AI chatbot book appointments on my hair salon's website?
Yes. BizFinder.ai adds an assistant to your salon's website that answers clients by chat or voice from what your site says, and its Book tab lets them pick an open time in the built-in scheduler, which follows the weekly hours and time zone you set in the dashboard. If you already take bookings on a Calendly, Cal.com or Google Calendar booking page, the Book tab opens that page instead. It does not connect to other salon booking software.
Can it answer patient questions on my dental office's website 24/7?
Yes. It answers by chat or voice at any hour, using what your website says about your hours, services, team, new patients and the insurance plans you list. It takes the patient's name and contact details for a call back, or they book a time. It is not a dentist: it has no dental triage rules and does not connect to your practice-management software or patient records.
How can a plumbing or HVAC company use an AI voice agent on its website to capture leads?
Add BizFinder.ai to your website. Visitors talk to it in their browser or type in the chat, and it answers from your site about your services, service area and hours. When someone wants a quote or a visit, it asks for their name and contact details and saves them, with the conversation, as a lead in your dashboard. You get one summary email on each day with new activity, and you can switch on an email for each new lead. It works on your website, not on your phone line.
Can it answer questions on my small medical clinic's website using information from the site?
Yes. It learns your site by scanning your pages and answers questions about your clinic from them and from anything you add to its knowledge base in the dashboard. It is not a clinician and has no medical triage rules, and a general health question may get an answer from the AI model's own general knowledge, which no clinician has checked. In voice calls its instructions tell it to point a caller who describes an emergency to emergency help; the chat has no rule of that kind, so publish your emergency instructions on your site.
Is there an affordable AI website assistant for local service businesses that talks to visitors by voice?
BizFinder.ai has a Free plan at $0 that includes chat, voice calls with standard AI voices, lead capture, bookings and the daily email summary. Pro is $68 a month and adds premium voices and up to 5 team members; Elite is $199 a month and adds unlimited team members and a dedicated success manager. Both paid plans start with a 14-day free trial.
Does it answer my business phone line?
No. It answers on your website: visitors talk to it by voice in their browser or type in the chat. It does not answer or forward calls to your business phone number.
