AI receptionist for veterinary clinic websites

BizFinder.ai puts an AI receptionist on your veterinary clinic's website that answers pet owners by voice or chat at any hour, using what your own site says. It takes their name and contact details for your team and books appointments with its built-in scheduler or your Calendly page.

What pet owners can ask it

It answers the questions your website already answers, in a chat or a voice conversation in the browser. For a typical clinic site that means:

  • Opening hours, including holiday hours if you list them
  • Which services you offer, as your site describes them
  • Where you are, and parking or directions if your site gives them
  • Whether you take new clients, and what to bring to a first visit
  • Prices your site publishes (see the note on prices below)
  • Your emergency number and after-hours policy, if your site lists them

It learns your site by scanning your pages, starting when the assistant first loads on your site; you can also start a scan from the dashboard. If something is missing or out of date, add it to the knowledge base in your dashboard, or update your site and rescan it. When your site does not answer a question about the clinic, the assistant is instructed to suggest that the pet owner contact you, or, in a voice call, to offer to take their details for a call back.

After hours

The assistant stays on your website when the clinic is closed. A pet owner who visits at night can still get answers from your site, leave their details for a call back, or book a time in the built-in scheduler. Which times the scheduler offers depends on the weekly hours and time zone set in your dashboard (see below). Your team picks these up from the dashboard and the daily email.

Booking appointments

Built-in scheduler

Set your weekly hours, time zone, the days you are closed, how long an appointment lasts and how far ahead people can book. The Book tab in the assistant offers only times inside those hours and skips times already booked. Until weekly hours are set, it offers no times. When you sign up on bizfinder.ai, the time zone is taken from your browser, if it shares one. If you sign up with Google or Apple on the sign-up page, with your website filled in, and that website is new to BizFinder, you start with Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Any other new website starts with no weekly hours, and the site scan adds the opening hours it finds on the website. A website set up before 30 October 2026 may still have every day open from 00:00 to 23:59 in UTC. Check your weekly hours and time zone in the dashboard before you go live. The pet owner gets a confirmation email, and you get a new-booking email, which is on by default. Both show the time in your time zone.

Calendly

Already book through Calendly? Add your Calendly link in the dashboard and the Book tab opens your Calendly page inside the assistant.

By voice

In a voice call the assistant is instructed to collect the day and time and read them back. When it confirms them, the booking is saved in your dashboard. It does not check your open times first, so your team confirms it: a caller who gave an email gets an email saying the request was received and that you will confirm the time, and your new-booking email asks you to contact them. Review voice bookings promptly.

Leads and the daily summary

When a pet owner wants a call back, the assistant asks for their name, email and phone number and saves them, with the conversation, as a lead in your dashboard. Once a day you get one email with the number of new leads and conversations from the last 24 hours and a link to your dashboard; on a day with no activity, no email is sent. You can also switch on an email for each new lead, or send chat leads to your own system with a webhook.

Limits to know about

  • It does not connect to practice-management software, so it cannot see your clinic's appointment book, patient records or vaccination history. Bookings it takes are kept in your BizFinder dashboard, or in Calendly when the pet owner books on your Calendly page.
  • It answers questions about your clinic only from your website and what you add in the dashboard (plus the chat price ranges below). For general questions it can also answer from the AI model's own general knowledge, which no vet has checked.
  • It works on your website, not on your clinic's phone line.
  • It is not a veterinarian. It has no veterinary knowledge base or triage rules of its own, and it is not a replacement for your staff on medical questions.
  • It has no prescription-refill or payment features.

Prices in chat

When a pet owner asks in chat what a common service costs, the chat is instructed to ask for their name, email and phone number first. It can then quote a typical price range from BizFinder's own price research for that kind of service, unless you have set your own range on the Services page of your dashboard. The ranges depend on the industry set there, and the automatic choice can file a clinic under another industry, so check that it says Pet care and set or check your ranges before you go live.

Medical questions and emergencies

Publish your emergency phone number and your after-hours emergency policy, for example the emergency hospital you refer pet owners to, on your website, so the assistant can give them to a worried owner at any hour. A question about a pet's health may get a general answer from the AI model's own knowledge, which no vet has checked, so make the way to reach your team clear on your site.

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI receptionist answer pet owners on my vet clinic's website after hours?

Yes. BizFinder.ai adds an assistant to your clinic's website that answers by voice or chat at any hour, using what your site says about your hours, services, location and new clients. It takes the pet owner's details for a call back and can book an appointment with the built-in scheduler or your Calendly page.

Where does it get its answers?

Questions about your clinic it answers from your own website and from anything you add to its knowledge base in the dashboard. It learns your site by scanning your pages, starting when the assistant first loads on your site; you can also start a scan from the dashboard. For questions about what a common service costs, the chat can also use a typical price range from BizFinder's own price research until you set your own range on the Services page. General questions it can also answer from the AI model's own general knowledge, which no vet has checked. To change what it says about your clinic, update your site and rescan it, or edit the knowledge base.

Does it give medical advice?

It is not a vet and has no veterinary triage rules, so it is not a replacement for your staff on medical questions. It can answer general questions, including general pet-care ones, from the AI model's own general knowledge, which no vet has checked. In voice calls its instructions tell it to point a caller who describes an emergency to emergency help; the chat has no rule of that kind. Publish your emergency number and after-hours policy on your site so it can share them.

Does it connect to my practice-management software?

No. It cannot see your clinic's appointment book or patient records. Pet owners book in BizFinder's built-in scheduler, which uses the hours you set, or on your Calendly page.

How do I add it to my clinic's website?

On WordPress, install the BizFinder AI Assistant plugin and click Connect this site. On Squarespace and other sites, paste one script; step-by-step guides for 33 website builders and hosts are at bizfinder.ai/install.

What does it cost?

The Free plan is $0 and includes chat, voice with standard AI voices, lead capture, bookings and the daily email summary. Pro is $68 a month and adds premium voices and up to 5 team members; Elite is $199 a month and adds unlimited team members and a dedicated success manager. Both paid plans start with a 14-day free trial.
