How to Install on IONOS

IONOS users typically manage their sites through the MyWebsite Builder or WordPress. We have provided the most robust, standard instructions for both methods below to ensure your assistant is live in minutes.

1Step 1: Copy Your Unique Snippet

First, you need to retrieve the unique code snippet that connects your website to our platform.

  1. 1.Log in to your Bizfinder dashboard.
  2. 2.Navigate to the Installation or Setup tab.
  3. 3.Locate and copy your unique code snippet. It should look exactly like this:

2Step 2: Add the Code to Your IONOS Site

Option A: For IONOS MyWebsite (Builder) Users

If you are using the IONOS proprietary website builder, follow these steps to add the widget sitewide:

  1. 1.Log in to your IONOS account and open the MyWebsite editor.
  2. 2.In the main menu on the left, click on Settings.
  3. 3.Select Edit Head from the sub-menu.
  4. 4.Paste your unique Bizfinder.ai snippet into the text area provided.
  5. 5.Click Save to confirm the changes.
  6. 6.Click Publish at the top of the editor to push the updates to your live site.

Option B: For WordPress Users on IONOS

If your site is powered by WordPress, we recommend using the WPCode plugin. This is the safest way to inject scripts without manually editing theme files.

  1. 1.Log in to your WordPress Admin panel (accessible via the IONOS Websites & Stores section).
  2. 2.On the left-hand sidebar, go to Plugins > Add New.
  3. 3.Search for "WPCode" and click Install Now, then Activate.
  4. 4.Navigate to the new Code Snippets menu in your sidebar and select Header & Footer.
  5. 5.Paste your unique snippet into the Footer box.
  6. 6.Click Save Changes.
Placing the script in the Footer ensures your page content loads first for optimal performance.

3Step 3: Verify Your Installation

Now that the code is embedded and published, let's make sure your AI assistant is ready to welcome your customers.

  1. 1.Open your live website in a new browser window.
  2. 2.Refresh the page.
  3. 3.Look for the Preview Assistant icon appearing in the bottom corner of your screen (usually the bottom right).
  4. 4.Click the icon to test the interface. If the chat window opens, your installation is successful!

4Customize Further
