How to Install on Shopify

To ensure the most secure and reliable installation on Shopify, we recommend using the built-in theme editor. This method allows you to safely add your snippet without installing third-party apps, ensuring your widget remains active even after theme updates.

1Step 1: Copy Your Unique Snippet

First, you need to retrieve the unique code that connects your Shopify store to our platform.

  1. 1.Log in to your Bizfinder dashboard.
  2. 2.Navigate to the Installation or Setup tab.
  3. 3.Locate and copy your unique script. It should look exactly like this:

2Step 2: Add the Snippet to Your Shopify Store

Shopify provides a built-in way to add custom scripts directly into your theme. Following these steps will ensure the widget loads correctly on all pages.

  1. 1.Log in to your Shopify Admin panel.
  2. 2.In the left-hand menu, go to Online Store > Themes.
  3. 3.Click Actions (or the ... menu) on your current theme, then select Edit code.
  4. 4.In the Layout folder, click on the file named theme.liquid.
  5. 5.Scroll down to find the closing `</body>` tag.
  6. 6.Paste your unique Bizfinder.ai snippet directly above the `</body>` tag.
  7. 7.Click Save in the top-right corner.
Placing the script just before </body> ensures your store content loads first, providing an optimal shopping experience for your visitors.

3Step 3: Verify Your Installation

Now that the code is embedded, let's make sure your AI assistant is ready to greet your customers.

  1. 1.Open your live Shopify store in a new browser window.
  2. 2.Refresh the page.
  3. 3.Look for the Preview Assistant icon appearing in the bottom corner of your screen (usually the bottom right).
  4. 4.Click the icon to test the chat. If it opens, your installation is successful!
