How to Install on SiteGround

Since the vast majority of SiteGround users utilize WordPress via the SiteGround Central panel, we recommend using the WPCode plugin. This is the most robust and secure method to add our script without manually editing your theme's `header.php` or `footer.php` files, ensuring your widget stays active even after theme updates.

1Step 1: Copy Your Unique Snippet

First, you need to retrieve the code snippet that connects your website to our platform.

  1. 1.Log in to your Bizfinder dashboard.
  2. 2.Navigate to the Installation or Setup tab.
  3. 3.Locate and copy your unique code snippet. It should look exactly like this:

2Step 2: Add the Code via WordPress on SiteGround

SiteGround makes managing WordPress simple. Follow these steps to safely inject the code into your site:

  1. 1.Log in to your SiteGround Client Area.
  2. 2.Go to Websites and click the WordPress Admin button for the site you are working on.
  3. 3.Once inside your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
  4. 4.Search for "WPCode" (formerly known as Insert Headers and Footers).
  5. 5.Click Install Now and then Activate.
  6. 6.On the left-hand sidebar, click the new Code Snippets menu and select Header & Footer.
  7. 7.Scroll down to the Footer section.
  8. 8.Paste your unique Bizfinder.ai snippet into the text area.
  9. 9.Click Save Changes at the top of the page.
We recommend the Footer to ensure your primary site content loads at lightning speed, followed by the widget.

3Step 3: Verify Your Installation

Now that the code is embedded, let's make sure your AI assistant is ready to welcome your customers.

  1. 1.Open your live website in a new browser window.
  2. 2.Refresh the page.
  3. 3.Look for the Preview Assistant icon appearing in the bottom corner of your screen (usually the bottom right).
  4. 4.Click the icon to test the interface. If the chat window opens, your installation is successful!

4Customize Further

The beauty of Bizfinder.ai is that the technical work is now finished. You never have to touch your SiteGround or WordPress settings for this widget again.
