Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 9, 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site operators. This policy explains how BizFinder.ai uses cookies and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Cookies
BizFinder.ai uses a minimal set of cookies, focused on essential functionality rather than advertising or cross-site tracking. We use cookies for authentication, basic analytics, and to remember your preferences.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
auth_token -- A secure, HTTP-only cookie that stores your JSON Web Token (JWT) session after login. This cookie is required for the platform to function and expires after 7 days. Without it, you would need to log in on every page visit.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics platform. Umami does not use cookies for visitor tracking. It collects anonymous page view data without storing personal information or tracking users across sites.
Functional Storage (Widget)
The embeddable AI widget uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to persist chat conversation history on the visitor's device. This data stays on the visitor's browser and is not transmitted to our servers unless the visitor actively sends a message.
4. Third-Party Cookies
BizFinder.ai does not set third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The third-party services we integrate with (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Calendly) are called server-side and do not set cookies in your browser through our platform.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, disabling the essential auth_token cookie will prevent you from logging into BizFinder.ai.
Common browser cookie settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will post any updates on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
7. Contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at [email protected]. For more details about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
